Coaching With CJ
Why you want me as your coach…
When we pick someone to guide and lead us to a certain result, it is important to explore what qualifies them to be coaching you in that area. To that end, I share my story – for two reasons actually. 1) You become assured I am qualified to teach about forgiveness and 2) You can use my story to realize you’re not alone, that others have experienced and gotten beyond some of the same things you may be dealing with. To offer you hope, I invite you to read my story. Scroll down to see the coaching programs if you prefer to skip it.
It was a difficult childhood for me, second oldest of six. Life was chaotic, dysfunctional, and confusing. Even though I was provided with many opportunities and experiences, I left feeling I was no good and would never amount to anything – I was worthless. My confidence and self-esteem were in the toilet.
Life presented itself to me, sometimes in the most hurtful or devastating way. Rejection from the two men in my life whom I was sure were meant to be with me, shaped my life. The first was in 1974 during college. This began a thirty-year drinking career. What took me to my bottom with my drinking was another rejection in 2000 from the love of my life, my soulmate.
During my thirty-year spree, I was married to a fellow alcoholic for twenty years, and practiced as a registered nurse for twenty-seven. I resented everyone and looked to others to make me happy. I was always disappointed. I was an angry, bitter, blaming, victim about everything in my life, past and present. I was miserable. At the end of my drinking, I was a real mess, working my way to killing myself through my drinking and not feeding myself for two months. That was how I reacted to the rejection.
When I realized I was actually dying, I desperately sought sobriety. Through the personal and healing work I did on myself, along with a great deal of assistance from others in recovery and Spirit, I discovered how to forgive my past when I was four years sober. At seven years, I stopped grieving the unrequited love when I learned how to incorporate and practice gratitude in my life. As a result, I now live in a state of gratitude and positivity, at peace and free from resentment. I adore it here.
So how do I help you? Using the same processes I utilized to get to peace and freedom, I guide you to that place beyond resentment where you become able to see from a new perspective. I offer support, compassion, and understanding as you move forward on your journey of healing. If this sounds appealing to you, scroll down to see the three programs I offer. First, though, I’d love for you to read “What Does It Feel Like to Be Awakened?”
What Does it Feel Like to be Awakened?
